Osamu Abe
Board Director (MUFG nominee)
Osamu is MUFG’s nominee on the Board of Dragon Funds, having previously served as the CEO and a board member of Dragon Funds from March 2024 to May 2025.
He is currently the Chief of Staff for Asia Pacific for MUFG Bank.
A veteran with nearly 30 years of experience at MUFG, Osamu has accumulated an extensive background in corporate & investment banking through senior postings across MUFG’s global network. He joined the then Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi’s Nihonbashi Corporate Banking Office in 1997 before joining their European Business division in London in 2001. In 2017, he became a senior member of MUFG Americas’ GCIB Planning Division in New York before becoming the Managing Director of the Bank’s GCIB Planning Division in Tokyo in 2019. Osamu was appointed Managing Director and Deputy Head of Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) for APAC at MUFG Bank Ltd in April 2023. He also holds non-executive Board Member position at Mars Growth Capital.
Osamu holds a Master of Science in Business from Stanford University & a Bachelor of Law from Tokyo University.
